The right to object – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances. You have an absolute right to stop your data being used for direct marketing. You can make an objection verbally or in writing and we will respond to your request in one calendar month.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How do we store your data?

Colateral holds Personal Data in a combination of electronic and hard copy files. We take reasonable steps, including the use of secure storage, to ensure that the personal data we hold is protected from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

How long do we keep your data?

We will not keep Personal Data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was provided, unless we are required by law or we have other legitimate interests which require us to keep it for longer.

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. This can be requested to be deleted or updated at any time.
