Believe it or not, the first ideas behind Colateral were imagined more than 20 years ago. Back then we knew there had to be a better way for centralised functions to connect effectively with remote sites and workers. Of course, the world has changed a lot since then, but some of the business challenges we observed all those years ago, in essence, have remained the same.
After creating workflow software to simplify large organisations complex internal processes, in 2016 we started working with retailers and companies with a physical store estate. It quickly became clear that instore marketing was one of the most common retail challenges without a good solution. Without central control, and the ability to capture the needs of individual stores and tailor campaigns to match, the intended effect would frequently fall flat.
Colateral is the result of working with retailers, such as Paddypower and Mothercare, to create an end-to-end solution to address this fundamental retail marketing problem. With years of experience in marketing, retail and technology, our team have thoughtfully reimagined traditional ways of working, and created a system where the planning, implementation and compliance for every instore campaign is simple, visible and easily managed.
